Ball joint
Garage word: შარავოი · Georgian: ბურთულა სახსარი · Russian: шаровая опора
A ball joint connects the suspension arm to the steering knuckle. It lets the wheel move up and down and turn with the steering at the same time.
A worn ball joint usually shows as a knock from the front suspension over potholes, play in the steering and uneven tire wear. A badly worn ball joint is dangerous and should be replaced in time.
When buying, check the model, generation and side: the left (LH) and right (RH) ball joints often differ.
Fits, for example: Subaru Forester 12-18, Subaru Forester 19-, Subaru Ascent 19-, Volkswagen VW Jetta 19-, Volkswagen VW Jetta 11-18, Volkswagen VW Jetta 15-18.
