Fender liner

A fender liner is the plastic shield inside the fender, in the wheel arch. It protects the fender and the engine bay from mud, water and stones.

Fender liners are often damaged in an accident or when something hits the wheel; a torn liner can rub against the tire.

When buying, check the side and whether it is front or rear. On some models the liner has a separate extension piece.
